Line Up for ChildLine

Calling all schools and youth groups across the UK – come together and Line Up for ChildLine this February!
ChildLine needs your help!
Following our Diamond Kids event for ChildLine, First News is calling upon ALL young people across the country to take part in a fundraising challenge in February to help raise much-needed funds for ChildLine. Teachers or youth group leaders can choose any day in February to take part. First News is suggesting that on that day young people pay £2 to go to school wearing something green – the colour of the ChildLine logo – and take part in a human chain to show support for ChildLine, making a united stand against suffering, bullying and abuse.
Why not encourage your pupils to go to school dressed as a frog, a crocodile or even Shrek and perhaps run a fancy dress competition to find the best green outfit? You could Line Up for ChildLine outside if the weather is dry or inside in the warm school hall, and you could spell out ChildLine’s telephone number (0800 1111) or simply line up around the hall or playground.
Supporting a good cause
Taking part in Line Up for ChildLine is a fun and easy way for everyone to show their support, helping ChildLine to continue its service for years to come. All the money raised will go towards the service so that it can continue to provide information and support whenever children and young people need it.
And First News will be printing a selection of the best and most creative photos of your human chains, so make sure your school takes part for your chance to appear in the pages of the newspaper! We’re looking for some really fantastic photos, so get those creative juices flowing and have fun!
