First News In Focus: Space Resource Pack
This Key Stage 2 and 3 cross-curricular literacy resource pack has been created to accompany the publication First News In Focus: Food.
Eight activities suitable for Years 5 & 6, 7 & 8 are provided to make it fun and easy to use in the classroom. They encourage children to read and discuss the information in the publication, and provide writing challenges enabling pupils to draw on and develop the knowledge they gain from their reading.
The resource pack can be used to develop a half-term’s food scheme of work, or alternatively be used as structured activities in guided reading sessions. Supports key curricular requirements in literacy, English, DT, PSHE, science and geography.
