2016 marks the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings. To honour this anniversary, we’ve put together special Normandy Tourism Education Packs which you can access for free by clicking on the links below.
These four packs offer students the opportunity to explore Normandy’s rich, treasured history across four topics – The Life of William the Conqueror, Impressionism, The D-Day Landings and The Flavours of Normandy. Each of these education packs is full of fascinating facts, figures, pictures, paintings, photographs, glossaries, timelines, quizzes, challenges, games and puzzles, all guaranteed to bring your history lessons to life. Highlights from the packs include a historical detective activity, an exclusive interview with a D-Day veteran, an artistic challenge – ‘Paint like an Impressionist’ and a detailed map of historic Normandy.
The packs are aimed at upper Key Stage 2 pupils and KS3 pupils, but can be easily adapted for other age groups.
